Graduate School

     Graduate school is the youngest school of Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences /MNUMS/ which is established in 2018. Graduate school offers programs of in-person graduate program and international cyber training programs.

     The department of graduate training begins to operate on October 1, 2018, with 6 lecturers and specialists.

     The Department of International Cyber Training was established on October 15, 2015, for the first time in Mongolia with three departments, the International Cyber University to provide a fully virtual master’s degree program for graduate education in higher education. Young Moon Chae, a professor at Yonsei University in Korea and an honorary professor at the MNUMS, has made a valuable contribution to the introduction of e-learning in Mongolia and he is an experienced scientist who has developed e-government and e-health systems in Asian countries.

      Graduation training is organized at a high level of quality using advanced technology following research ethics, standards, and working to provide the legal and infrastructure to enable student-friendly, advanced research, and success-based scholarship programs.

     To create an environment that provides the necessary legal, financial, and infrastructure for conducting interdisciplinary, international, and multicultural research, and to create conditions for the best local and foreign students to learn from the university’s leading lecturers and researchers, work in research laboratories and join research teams.

     The school publishes articles in international and local professional journals, serves on the editorial board, acts to act as an external expert, and advises students on the publication of research.         


Implementation of the graduate program

     In the 2020-2021 academic year, more than 1,900 students are enrolled in 57 graduate programs in clinical medicine, bio-medicine, traditional medicine, oral medicine, public health, pharmacy, and nursing.

     Doctors and medical professionals in the health sector are enrolled in the master’s program to prosper their education and knowledge. In this context, a total of 8 professional programs are being implemented.

     In order to coherent the program internationally, we have prepared all materials in English and Mongolian, created opportunities for foreign students to study, and developed the Moodle-3.9 system used in 236 countries for international e-learning, and continue to improve the quality of training. Under the program, 126 lecturers with doctoral degrees and 11 professors from universities in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Korea are cooperating.

     Approximately, 1,700 students are enrolled in the program, and currently, study 921 students, from this 45 percent of students are living in rural areas and abroad. Successful postgraduates receive scholarships through academic conferences and research projects.
