Department of Otorhinolaryngology

     

     The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, one of the clinical departments of School of Medicine at the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, was founded in 1996. The otorhinolaryngology subject has been belonged to general surgery department and ophthalmology department from1952 to 1996. The first teacher of department was doctor Sh. Tsend. Professor L.Shagdar, the first honored teacher of the Department of Otolaryngology of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, the first head of the Mongolian Otolaryngologists Association, Doctor of Science, has been a teacher, doctor and head of the department for 35 years since 1967. Otolaryngologist, MD Sh. Bat-Erdene worked as a teacher, senior lecturer and head of the Department of Otolaryngology from 1992 to 2009.Otolaryngologist, Consultant, Master of Medicine G. Tsogtjargal worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer at the MNUMS from 1991 to 2009. Professor B.Erdenechuluun, Honored Doctor of Mongolia, Doctor of Science, worked as a teacher, senior lecturer and head of the Department of Otolaryngology from 1992 to 2014. The department assistant worker were G. Tsetsegdari (1986-1990), P. Togoo (1996-1998), and Byambaa.

 

Mission

To integrating clinical training to prepare the specialists with comprehensive capabilities about understanding of the ear nose throat, head and neck diseases, diagnosis and prevention and academic research.
