Traumatology and Orthopedics has founded in 1925, when a European scientific hospital was established in Mongolia.
State prize achiever Dr. G.Demid had officially started teaching since 1985, furthermore, Dr. D.Mishigdorj had worked as a teacher from 1978-1994. The Department of Trauma and Orthopedics was established in 1992, and headed by clinical professor Dr. G.Demidand.other colleagues Dr. A.Erdenebileg and Dr. J.Oyuntugs. At present, Dr. A.Erdenebileg is working as a head of the department.
The Department of Traumatology and Rehabilitation was consisted of head Dr.A.Erdenebileg (clinical professor), and senior teacher Dr.O.Batsukh (clinical professor), Dr.A.Baljinnyam (associated professor, PhD) and Dr.Sh. Batchimeg (MSc), Dr.L.Naranbat (MSc), Ts. Narantsetseg (MSc), and Kh. Battulga (MSc) in September, 2014 to July, 2018.
Starting from September 1, 2018, Dr.A.Erdenebileg is working as a head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics, and Dr.L.Naranbat, Dr.Kh.Battulga, Dr.B.Zolbayar and Dr.N.Otgonsaikhan are working as a teachers.
Department objective
The objective is to be one of the best departments in the School of Medicine, providing education, research, health and medical care in the field of trauma and rehabilitation in accordance with international and national needs, and to train a skilled and ethical specialists as a team.
